Background
Mr. Edward C. Tu represented clients in structuring and closing lending and acquisition financing transactions, drafting and negotiating software licensing agreements, and forming investment partnerships while at O’Melveny & Myers LLP. He later joined Pachulski, Stang, Ziehl & Jones, P.C., where he practiced bankruptcy law, assisting in the preparation and filing of several notable corporate Chapter 11 cases, including Trend Technologies, Inc. and Health Plan of the Redwoods. He also led the firm’s efforts to litigate and resolve over 300 claims on behalf of Inacom Corp.
Mr. Tu subsequently joined Castellan Law Group, LLP, where he vigorously represented clients in civil and commercial litigation, negotiated complex business, financial, and investment contracts, and handled both individual and corporate bankruptcy matters.
In 2006, he founded his own private law practice. In his practice, Mr. Tu has represented individuals in civil litigation, including personal injury, landlord-tenant disputes, and accounting actions. He has also represented small and medium-sized businesses in commercial litigation involving a wide range of matters, including breaches of buy-sell agreements, land sale contracts, lease covenants, non-competition agreements, and unlawful detainer actions. Additionally, he has served as general counsel to several companies, providing guidance on employment and corporate compliance matters. Mr. Tu is licensed to practice law in California and is fluent in Chinese Mandarin.
